Since its inception in 1975 Funderland has attracted the best Showmen and fairground attractions from across Europe and beyond. Widely regarded as one of Europe's leading mobile entertainment events it is a completely Irish owned success story and continues to attract record numbers in Dublin, Cork, Belfast and Limerick.

Funderland came about when the late Mr William Bird realised there was a niche for a temporary amusement park in Ireland. He secured the R.D.S. in Dublin as the first venue and has since expanded to Cork, Belfast and Limerick.

The operation has grown and grown over the years but the mission remains the same "to provide top class entertainment for the people of Ireland at an affordable cost". It is with this in mind that the promoters of Funderland have year in year out assembled the best, contemporary rides and attractions from around the world and brought them not only to Dublin but also to Cork, Belfast and Limerick.

Winter Funderland is the Flagship event, presented annually for over 40 years at the prestigious RDS venue in Dublin during the Christmas school holidays. it is possibly the largest indoor event of its kind in Europe. Dublin has seen some very weird and wonderful things over the 40 plus years not least a tank of man-eating sharks, a high wire motorcycle act, the Wall of Death, performing Dolphins and much, much more.

Funderland Cork "The Southern Capital" has been home to the event annually during the Easter school holidays since 1995. It has become one of the most eagerly anticipated entertainment events at Easter in Cork each year and has grown to match the demands and tastes of the patrons. In 2017 the event moved to Creamfields, Tramore Road, Cork. From 2024 the event moved to a exciting new location at Tedcastles Yard on Centre Park Road, Cork near Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Funderland Belfast opened its doors in Belfast in 1981 initially in The Kings Hall however, since leaving the Kings Hall a number of years ago, the event has doubled in size and is now presented at Titanic Quarter. To mark the 20th anniversary in 2000 it not only had the largest mobile amusement park ever in Northern Ireland it also secured the incredible "American Circus".

Funderland Limerick occurs during the June Bank Holiday. The year 2000 saw Limerick play host to its first Funderland event and the response of the people of the Midwest region was remarkable. The many thousands of people who attended were treated to an incredible array of white knuckle and family rides and attractions. The success of the event in Limerick means that this too has become an annual event.
